Top Street Sports Events of 2023

The year 2023 was filled with remarkable moments in street sports at some of the year's most significant events. Narrowing it down to just three events was challenging, but these stand out for elevating street sports to new heights.

Copenhagen Open

What is the Copenhagen Open?
Also referred to as CPH Open, it is the largest skateboarding festival globally. The festival's founder describes it as "CPH Open is a movement. It's an organic adventure initiated by the people who arrive with love and positive energy. CPH Open demonstrates that together we can create the best times and build lasting relationships through skateboarding."

It began in 2007 and has since expanded into a massive festival. CPH Open travels to multiple locations each day over several days in various cities, visiting places as diverse as Copenhagen City Hall, Tivoli Gardens, and historic Berlin bridges, and even taking over entire city blocks. The event draws crowds in the thousands at each stop, with attendees coming from all over the globe.

How can you find the CPH Open?
The unique aspect of CPH Open is that it doesn't rely on advertising; it spreads largely through word of mouth. Many people say you need to be in the know to be aware of it. Many travel as soon as videos and clips are shared on social media. To stay informed, I recommend following the official CPH Open Instagram page.
