About SSTX
SSTXis a group devoted to street sports that got its start in Shrewsbury, but they also skate in Telford, Birmingham, and the surrounding regions. The group primarily consists of four members -Ollie Laroche, Jay Skinner, Mark Harmer- though they regularly skate with many other people in their daily routines. Moreover, they also skate withRasheed Osman, Nick Binnington, Tristan Jones, and Ben Broyd.
The entire group has been skating together for more than 10 years, dating back to their childhood. Despite their busy lives, skating has consistently brought them back together. After all these years, they have begun to develop a page to showcase their scene. The team endeavors to skate and record every day, primarily at Shrewsbury Sundawn, which is their local skatepark and features in most of their videos.
Due to the small size of the skateboarding scene in Telford/Shrewsbury, the community is very close-knit. The SSTX crew aims to provide a positive perspective on skateboarding, as it is not always seen in the best light. Maintaining a safe environment for all ages and types of wheels is one of their top priorities. The ability to motivate and encourage each other is also crucial in the community.
Looking ahead, SSTX intends to launch new merchandise and expand their presence on social media.
