On Saturday, 27th May 2023, the CORE Open 2023 is scheduled to occur at Junction4 Skatepark in Darwen, Blackburn. This event has generated significant excitement and is anticipated to be one of the largest competitions in Europe, attracting top professionalScooterriders from around the globe to compete for a portion of a substantial £7,000 prize.
Visitors can enter the park for the CORE Open 2023 starting at 8:30 am. From 8:45 am to 10:00 am, juniors and seniors can participate in open practice. The Junior Competition, intended for participants aged 15 and under, will follow from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. Immediately after, the Seniors Practice will occur for those aged 16 and above who are not professionals. At 12:00 pm, the Seniors Competition will begin for the same age group of non-professionals in the indoor Skatepark, concluding at 1:30 pm.
Following a 90-minute break, the Street Competition will start at 3 pm, lasting around 2 hours at the Street Plaza, showcasing various tricks and stunts. This will be succeeded by the Street Best Trick, where competitors challenge each other, wrapping up at 5:30 pm to make way for the Pro Competition. The Pro Competition will feature professional riders competing in an outdoor skatepark.
At 7:30 pm, the Park Best Trick will take place with competitors going head-to-head at the outdoor Skatepark. This event will conclude at 8 pm, followed by the awards ceremony from 8:30 pm to 9:00 pm.
