#DesignADeck Winners Announced!
At Skate Hut, we've been overwhelmed by loads of inspiring skateboard designs, but the results of our #DesignADeck contest are finally in, and we're ready to reveal the winners!
Our judging panel had a plethora of amazing designs to go through and admire, but there could only be one overall winner. That honor goes to 22-year-old Zac Simmons with his 'Slow Rider' themed deck, featuring a sloth that wowed the judges with its originality.
Congratulations to Zac! His unique design is bound to stir up envy on the streets and skateparks of Eastbourne and Brighton.Can we confirm if he skates in Brighton? If so, link to the Brighton skateparks article.where he spends time and masters The Darkslide.
In addition to receiving his own signature 8” board to ride, Zac has also won £200 worth of skateboard parts.
We also want to give a big shoutout to runners-up Ali Smith and Chris Craig, who came close to Zac with their creative board designs and have also received their own custom-designed decks.
A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to submit their #DesignADeck. We received well over 100 entries, with many serious contenders giving the judging panel a major challenge in selecting the overall winner and top three!
