You've heard of it and possibly seen it, but what exactly is longboarding? It's both a sport and a pastime, akin to skateboarding, drawing inspiration from surfing and skating. Like other extreme sports, it is continually evolving and gaining popularity.

Longboard Decks

Pintail - Perfect for cruising around town and learning to carve. Pintail boards are longer with tapered ends, ideal for directional riding.
Fishtail - Fishtail boards are shorter with a double-pronged tail, resembling that of a fish.

Top Mount - Top mounted boards, the most traditional style, have a higher center of gravity, making them more responsive and versatile.
Cruiser - Cruiser longboards are short and versatile, perfect for leisurely cruising!
Longboarding Styles
Typically, longboarders use different boards for various riding styles:
Downhill - Speeding downhill at high velocities. Try a top mount deck for these rides.
Freeride - Performing tricks, slides, and grabs. Through decks are ideal for freeriding.
Cruising - For transportation, leisure, and simple cruising – Opt for a cruiser deck.
Slalom - Maneuvering through obstacles – Choose a top mount deck.
Dancing - Dancing while riding. Longer and wider decks for your moves! Consider a pintail or a top mount deck.
