Groups

Roller Skate Southamptonis a volunteer-run skate community that organizes sessions every Saturday afternoon around the Guildhall area. They support and elevate local crews, such as @WESKATESOTON- an inclusive, female-led skate club. With a welcoming attitude for all wheels, skaters from all backgrounds are encouraged to join. They also arrange street skates around the parks and ocean village during the summer.

 

 

Bristol Quadshold quad-only sessions on the second Saturday of each month. Mostly skating indoors at Campus Pool, BQ also enjoys crossing the bridge to Wales to skate at Rampworld. Their favorite outdoor park is Warmley Forest, a newly renovated, super smooth concrete park just off the Bristol to Bath Cycle path. Bristol offers numerous outdoor park options across Filton, Bradley Stoke, and Nailsea. Traveling further, Bath and Midsomer Norton have some lovely parks worth a visit and skate.

 

 

Portsmouth Park Skatersare a social media-based community that aims to connect local skaters. They primarily skate at Southsea Skatepark and local parks in the area. Frequent meet-ups are generally organized for Bransbury in Portsmouth, Denmead skatepark, Fareham skatepark, and Pitt St (a newly built indoor park in Portsmouth) when the weather is unfavorable.

 

 

MCR Skateorganizes general meetups throughout the city. Often visiting Media City, Liverpool Road, and Alexandra Park, they also rent a studio in Ardwick during winter. The MCR Skate crew can be seen street skating all over Manchester. Salford has more picturesque skate areas. Some skaters also use Projekts Skatepark and other parks outside the city, as well as visiting our friends at Manchester Greystone.

 

Newquay Quad Skatershost sessions every Sunday at NQY Sports Centre. Initially an online collective, their Facebook group continues to expand through word of mouth, transcending the parasocial realm. In warmer months, weekly gatherings are held at Concrete Waves in Newquay. The Newquay crew also enjoys visiting St Ives, St Newlyn East, Cubert, and the Goonhavern Pump Track.

 

Leeds West Rollersare central to their community, frequently organizing various skate meet-ups for all styles and abilities. They hold fortnightly Sunday afternoon Skates sessions at Farsley Celtic FC, and LWR also hosts a monthly roller disco on the last Friday of each month. Additionally, local legend Maggie from Skate Scholarship conducts rhythm and dance Roller Skating classes on the first Sunday of the month for all skill levels. Throughout the summer, they also hold skate sessions outdoors at Armley Park, Kirkstall Abbey, Yeadon Tarn, and many other locations around West Leeds.

 

 

Secret Skate Society UKBased in and around the Midlands, SSSUK invites all wheels to join in various forms of skating. They host park, rink, and trail skate events at popular WestMids locations like Asylum, House Skatepark, and Skate Parlour, as well as rinks like Rollerworld and Skateland. All types of wheels, skills, and abilities are welcomed, and the community, which is over 100 strong, continues to grow steadily each year.
