It's easy to overlook that multi-millionaire celebrities are still human(ish). Just like us, they enjoy nothing more after a long day than to unwind, relax, and skate. Whether they're skilled or not is another matter entirely, but celebrities can be impressive on a board too, and this list is here to demonstrate that. No point in waiting around, let's dive in...
Tyler the Creator
It might not surprise some of you to see OFWGKTA's main figure on this list. Some might argue that his energetic performances hint at the punk frontman he could have been, not that we're complaining. Social media is filled with images of the underground mogul skating, so it made perfect sense for him to be our first entry.
Henry Rollins
It's time to add skateboarding to the extensive list of Henry Rollins' skills. With a background in punk ethics, the perseverance and determination needed to master the basics of skateboarding came naturally to him. We'll admit, there aren't many photos of Rollins readily available online, but if you look thoroughly, you'll find him rocking both microphones and skate bowls.
Sonny John Moore aka Skrillex
You might recognize Skrillex as the techno producer in need of a new hairstylist, but his musical journey began with punk influences. He started in the American post-hardcore band 'From First to Last', and skating was part of the culture. Skrillex may have left the band, but he kept the skateboard and has been spotted cruising several times.
Jodie Foster
Jodie is arguably the biggest surprise among our five celebrities. Some younger readers might not even recognize her, but trust us—she's the real deal. Besides playing a tough character in The Silence of the Lambs, Jodie used to skate both on and off screen. There's even a hardcore Southern California punk band called Jodie Foster's Army!
Lil Wayne
We can't quite decide about Lil Wayne. On one hand, he might never have needed to pick up a skateboard. But on the other, he's put in the effort to become a somewhat capable skater. Unlike many celebrities who use skateboarding to enhance their image, he actually stuck with it—and for that, we give Lil Wayne credit.
