Fastlands

Fastlands has been a refuge for skateboarders in Birmingham for quite some time. Thanks to recent enhancements that cater to skaters, extensive resurfacing, and its status as an overlooked spot by authorities, Fastlands has become a popular destination. It is particularly appealing as it's the only place that remains partially dry when it rains.

This sought-after location has hosted numerous events in the past, with notable ones being the No Comply Network jam in 2017 and Black Mass in 2022. These events drew in skaters from different areas, gathering in Birmingham over the weekend to indulge in their enthusiasm for skateboarding.

Tram Line Spot Nottingham

Situated in the center of Nottingham, Tram Line Spot is more of a 'skate spot' than a typical 'skate park.' It seamlessly blends into a mixed-use public area development surrounding the historic Broadmarsh Banks site, placing skateboarding at the forefront of a broader initiative to rejuvenate an essential part of the city center, rather than being pushed to the outskirts.

TLS features a lively design, with a flat plaza intersected by a set of two stairs, offering an exciting challenge for skaters. The area is encircled by skateable perimeter ledges of varying heights, providing a wide array of opportunities for skaters to exhibit their skills. A higher ledge runs alongside the stairs, introducing an additional element of excitement and creativity to the experience.

Tram Line Spot has become a lively urban hub and stands as a testament to the influence of skateboarding in aiding the regeneration and cultural enrichment of Nottingham's city center.

Lloyds Bristol

Lloyds Steps are the undeniable highlight of Bristol's street skateboarding scene. Unlike most popular street sections, it is concealed in plain view, just a short stroll from the bustling city center. The steps were constructed as an outdoor amphitheater, and events are held here throughout the year. Another aspect of skating at Lloyds is that you're rarely asked to leave unless there's an event; you could skate there all day.

Lloyds has been skateable since its construction in 1989. The history of skating is visible in the wear and tear it has accumulated over the years, with the originally round ledges now sporting cracks that skaters have endeavored to repair. As a result, maneuvering this spot is quite challenging but still feasible.

The Civic Wolverhampton

The Civic Wolverhampton is well-known among skaters, acting as a post-war bank paradise with numerous banks and stair sets. Although it may not have the smoothness of some other spots in the UK, it certainly possesses its own unique charm.

Famously, Jagger skated the Civic during his upbringing, and it has continued to be a favored spot for skaters over the years. From the 1980s and 1990s to the present day, groups such as the Wolftown Crew and, more recently, the Anti Hero Crew have been regular visitors to the Civic for skate sessions.

The Buszy Milton Keynes

The Buszy Plaza is a plaza-style area made entirely of concrete and marble, created from an old bus station in 2003. It is located opposite Milton Keynes Central Station.

At the center of the area is a large, square manual pad, surrounded by a series of marble blocks of varying shapes and sizes, arranged perfectly for long grind lines. Buszy Plaza is a must-visit for all street skaters and riders; the surfaces are smooth, and there is a wide selection of marble obstacles. There is considerable potential for long-flowing lines here, and the stair set is a particularly significant draw. Even better, the whole area is covered, making it a viable spot on rainy days, although it tends to be busy.
