What's the Big Deal with EDEA

Who is Edea?

Edea was established by Sabrina Merlo, daughter of Antonio Merlo and Caterina Rizzo, and niece of Armando Rizzo, who originally founded Risport in 1972.

After two years of thorough research and development, and with the backing of her family and specialists, the first boots debuted on the ice on 02/02/02.

Research, development, and manufacturing are all located in Italy, focusing exclusively on figure-skating boots, both for ice and roller.

Sabrina Merlo says, ‘New materials, technology, and innovative thinking mean that the impossible is just an idea away. This ongoing pursuit of excellence keeps us ahead of the conventional. At Edea, we focus on the future so you can concentrate on performance. We want to make your dreams a reality.’

Edea Motivo Figure Ice Skates

The Motivo by Edea is an excellent choice for beginners and intermediate skaters, featuring a mid-stiff structure. EDEASkatesALL include a Thermoformable Structure, allowing the boot to be adjusted for a perfect custom fit without the custom price tag.

Edea Overture Figure Skates

The Overture boot combines a lightweight design with Edea technology and is their best-selling boot to date. The Overture provides excellent support and flexibility for skaters who are developing their skills and performing basic single jumps and axels.

The Overture is an intermediate skate, suitable for skaters doing single jumps.

Edea Chorus Figure Ice Skate Boot

The Chorus boot is one of the most popular models available and is the next step up from the Overture and Prelude. It is designed for skaters executing double jumps, so if you're serious about skating, this boot can be beneficial. In this model, Edea has combined lightness with the latest technology to ensure maximum performance and comfort.
