Full size Electric Scooters require a provisional or full drivers licence due to the level of motorised transportation they are classified as. Kids Electric Scooters are designed specifically for use by younger users. Childrens Electric Scooters are becoming more prominent with the rise in popularity of electronic transportation.

    Any children using electronic means of transport should always be wearing the relevant protective items. A Helmet and a triple pad set is super important when it comes to the safety of your child. We always recommend adult supervision when using an E-Scooter, Hoverboard, Electric Skateboard or any other means of motorised transport.

  • Are Kids Electric Scooters Legal in the UK?

    Kids Electric Scooters are legal for use on private land and property. As with all electronic transportation the same laws apply. To use an E-Scooter of any size on public roads requires a provisional or full licence with category Q classification, which is of course impossible for a child to ascertain. Without the proper registration, tax and insurance it is illegal to use motorised transport outside of private property.

    This means you cannot use your Kids E-Scooter on pavements or public paths. Use of the Scooter itself is fully legal within private premises and as always we recommend using relevant protective gear for maximum fun and maximum safety. Use outside of private property can lead to a crime being committed by the adult supervising the activity and/or responsible for the child.
